"And so in this begins....the city of dreams...where all that's imagined can be pushed past extreme and all that you wish can be more than a list...where anything is everything...your dream is my gift"- Kaylei's World

As of 1.10.2024, Kaylei's World has been fighting homelessness after losing an important piece of our community to homelessness! See how you can help!
January 1st, 2024... The Start to an End....
1.10.2024: The start to an end.
You will never understand the amount of pain I have carried over in the past years. On January 1st, 2024, a woman that I knew was homeless died from hypothermia. This woman wasn't just "any homeless lady," she was someone that my family, friends, and I had passed for years ... and I had no idea she was homeless. But the odd part? Everyone I knew around me seemed to know she was homeless. Yet... did nothing....
So, when I found out, I was naturally devastated to hear she was going through so much with so little. How is it fair that an elderly woman needed to go through so much just to stay warm, to stay cool, and to get something to eat?
So, why do I carry so much pain from this experience? Well, I have always been different than a lot of people in America. I care way too much about things that any average person on the street wouldn't even notice, let alone care about. But my downfall? Not being confident enough to get out of my "introverted" self, and do something to help this woman.......
And then I got the call.... "Kaylei, she died..."

"Gone... but never forgotten..."
Devestated isn't quite the word I could use to describe the pain I have to this day. Hypothermia?? How many people are going to die from homelessness? How many of us are going to keep watching people die?
So, our goal today is to get the government to do more. To declare a ...
NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY
For us to get aid quicker and bring attention to this national and devastating issue... before more people have to die.
Come along as you hear real stories, from real homeless individuals as we help to solve this heartbreaking epidemic.
Come along on our journey, and help out where you can, because the lady in my heart may have passed away- but she will never be forgotten!
